Dhamma Dhara ('land of Dhamma') was founded in 1982 and was the first Goenka-tradition centre in North America. It began as a house and barn on eight acres and now covers 108 acres, with a meditation hall for 200 and a 140-cell pagoda. Its schedule includes courses of up to 60 days.
Apply online through the centre's page on dhamma.org (in Nepal, start from np.dhamma.org). New students must first complete a 10-day course, and there is no charge.
