Abhayagiri is a training monastery in Ajahn Chah's Thai forest lineage, on land given by Master Hsüan Hua's City of Ten Thousand Buddhas; it received the land in 1995. It describes itself as a monastery rather than a retreat centre, and guests may stay by reservation to share the monastic routine. The current abbot is Ajahn Nyaniko.
Write to the monastery's guest monk well in advance (Wat Pah Nanachat asks for at least two weeks) and expect to follow its full routine on eight precepts. Wat Pah Nanachat also expects earlier retreat experience.
