Dhamma Jananī ('Mother of Dhamma') is in Lumbini, the Buddha's birthplace, and the Lumbini Development Trust lists it as the Vipassana centre operating in the East Monastic Zone. Its Dhamma hall seats nearly 200, with accommodation for about 48 men and 48 women in rooms with attached baths, plus meditation cells. According to dhamma.org it began operating in 2000 and runs one 10-day course a month and two Satipatthana courses a year, and many visitors to Lumbini sit courses there.
Apply online through the centre's page on dhamma.org (in Nepal, start from np.dhamma.org). New students must first complete a 10-day course, and there is no charge.
