Dhamma Aloka ('light of Dhamma') was bought in 1995 at Woori Yallock, an hour's drive east of Melbourne. The 18-acre hilltop site adjoins a reserve on the Yarra River, and its first course was held in 1996.
Apply online through the centre's page on dhamma.org (in Nepal, start from np.dhamma.org). New students must first complete a 10-day course, and there is no charge.
