Panditarama Shwe Taung Gon Meditation Center

Panditarama Shwe Taung Gon in Bahan, Yangon, was founded on 18 August 1990 on land donated to Sayadaw U Pandita (U Paṇḍitābhivaṃsa). It teaches Mahasi-lineage vipassana in intensive retreats, which the centre says are conducted in English, and runs Buddhist culture courses for young people. The first full-time meditators, including three foreigners, arrived in April 1991.

Apply to each centre directly. Panditarama Lumbini asks you to read its guidelines and then contact it to agree your dates; IBMC Kathmandu wants a signed form at least a week ahead.
