Dhamma Medini ('ground of Dhamma') was established in February 1987 in the Makarau valley north of Kaukapakapa, within an hour's drive of Auckland. It covers 55 hectares and has 68 single rooms and a Dhamma hall for 100 students.
Apply online through the centre's page on dhamma.org (in Nepal, start from np.dhamma.org). New students must first complete a 10-day course, and there is no charge.
